NSW First Home Owners Grant

This grant offers $10,000 towards the purchase price of a new home that no-one has lived in before, is valued at $750,000 or less and is being purchased by someone buying or building their first home.

Applicants must not have owned or co-owned a property before, be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, and be 18 years or over. They must move into the property within 12 months and live there for a minimum of six (continuous) months.

NSW First Home Buyers Assistance Scheme

This scheme offers a concessional rate or exemption on transfer duty for those buying their first home with a value of $800,000 or less. It is available for new and existing homes, or vacant land that will be built upon.

As with the grant above, applicants must not have owned or co-owned a property before, be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, and be 18 years or over. They must move into the property within 12 months and live there for a minimum of six (continuous) months.
