QLD First Home Owners Grant
In Queensland, the first home owners’ grant is $15,000 and applicants must be 18 years or over; be an Australian citizen or permanent resident (or applying with someone who is); have not received a first home owner grant from anywhere else in Australia; or have owned a property on or after 1 July 2000.
The grant is available when the purchased home is brand new, valued at less than $750,000 and will be occupied by the grant recipient within 12 months of purchase, for a minimum of 6 continual months.
Applicants who are receiving financial help from a related person who is ineligible for the grant may be disqualified from receiving the grant if that person will also stay in the home for long periods of time without a genuine family reason.
Your broker will be able to assist with applications to qualify for this grant.
